With more than 70 professionals, the firm operates from three offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília

Giamundo Neto Advogados has announced its new brand: Giamundo Advogados, in line with the firm’s strategic evolution. The change seeks to reflect the firm’s maturity and a new stage in its history after a decade in practice. Founded in 2015, the firm has been named Most Admired by the ANÁLISE ADVOCACIA yearbook ten consecutive times.
“The new identity represents a natural milestone in our journey. After 10 years building a solid market position, the change reflects who we have become: a mature firm, recognized for excellence and for its capacity to innovate,” says Giuseppe Giamundo Neto, founding partner and PhD in State Law from USP.
Strategic expansion
Over the past decade, Giamundo Advogados has practiced public law, gradually expanding its portfolio of services to better meet its clients’ needs. This strategic evolution allowed the firm to diversify into complementary areas, offering integrated legal solutions to the challenges faced by companies and large-scale projects.
“Adding areas such as M&A and corporate law is not a departure from our original vocation, but a natural evolution. Our infrastructure and public project clients often need advice on complex corporate transactions, and our expansion has allowed us to offer this coverage in an integrated way,” explains Clicia Souza, the partner in charge of the corporate and M&A practice.
The firm regularly advises companies and consortia on infrastructure projects in Brazil, including highway, railway, airport and port concessions, as well as sanitation and energy projects. At the same time, it has expanded its practice in complex arbitrations and strategic litigation, corporate transactions, specialized regulatory matters and the structuring of integrity programs.
“We understand that our clients need much more than specialized advice in a single area. They face multidisciplinary challenges that require an integrated approach. Our evolution has been about offering this broad coverage while maintaining the high standard of our services,” adds Luiz Felipe Graziano, partner and Master of Laws from FGV.
Planned growth and diversification
The consolidation of Giamundo Advogados was the result of a strategy of expansion and of bringing in talent. In addition to founding partners Giuseppe Giamundo Neto and Camillo Giamundo, the firm initially relied on professionals such as Luiz Felipe Pinto Lima Graziano (sanitation and infrastructure), Philippe Ambrosio Castro e Silva (arbitration and litigation), Thays Chrystina Munhoz de Freitas (administrative law), Christian Fernandes Rosa (compliance and PPPs), Daniel Almeida Stein (PPPs and public projects) and Mariana Dias Capozoli (labor law).
“Our solid foundation in Public Law was essential to building the trust needed to gradually expand our practice. The consolidated expertise in our original area gave us the credibility and confidence to diversify our services consistently,” says partner Thays Chrystina Munhoz de Freitas.
From 2020 onwards, the firm began a second phase of expansion, bringing in partners who added new skills complementary to its original vocation. During this period, Joaquim Augusto Melo de Queiroz (life sciences and electric power), Clicia Souza (corporate and M&A) and Rodrigo de Pinho Bertoccelli (corporate governance and compliance) joined the team.
“Our approach has always been to grow in a smart and strategic way, adding top-level professionals who bring complementary skills. Today we are able to serve our clients with a much broader range of specialized services,” concludes Camillo Giamundo, founding partner and PhD in Administrative Law from PUC-SP.
