On 06.19.2018, Decree No. 9,412/2018 was published, updating the thresholds for the tender modalities set out in Federal Law 8,666/93.
The modalities and their thresholds are set out in article 23 of the Procurement Law, whose limits had been outdated for more than 20 years, failing to reflect current market prices and making it difficult for the Public Administration to launch tenders.
With the new decree, the thresholds were updated as follows:

The new thresholds take effect 30 days after the decree’s publication.
